Meenakshi Medical College was given a status of Deemed University from 2003 by Human Resource Development Ministry, Govt. of India on the advice of UGC under section (3) of UGC Act 1956 vide their notification No. F-9-11/2000-U.3.
Admission of students of MMCH&RI is made strictly on merit based on an All India Examination (NEET) as prescribed by the MCI and UGC Regulations and in consistence with the National policy in this behalf from time to time.
Selection will be made after counseling as per the merit list. Classes will be started in August. The Degrees are awarded by the University for the successful candidates.
The admissions to MBBS courses shall be done on the basis of the merit list as ascertained from the performance of the candidates in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2018 - 19 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi by DGHS New Delhi.
Annual Tution Fees for the candidate, admitted to the course, under different categories shall be as follows:

The Annual fee for the first year MBBS is to be paid by the student at the time of counseling and on-the-spot admission session by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the Dean Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, Enathur, Kanchipuram for MBBS.
In addition to the above fees the student should pay the University Examination Fee as prescribed by the University from time to time. Other conditions and formalities shall be as per the Rules of the University.
Hostel is compulsory for 1st year of MBBS students.
Comfortable and Sufficient Hostel accommodation with Telephone, Internet & Mess facilities is available for Boys & Girls Separately.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for All India Common Entrance National Eligibility and Entrance test(NEET)-2018 for selection of candidates for admission to Postgraduate Courses in Medicine (MD/MS) for the academic year 2018-19 in the colleges of Meenakshi Medical College. Duration of course: Three years course.
The College is recognized by U.G.C (University Grants Commission) / M.C.I. (Medical Council of India) for both Undergradaute and post graduate courses.
Eligibility Criteria for appearing the Entrance Test:
Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine course should hold MBBS degree of recognized University by MCI.
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.Sc Degree Course should have obtained not less than 40% marks in aggregate in Physics /Zoology) at the qualifying Examination (Academic Stream 0+2/HSE/PUC)after a Period of 12 years Study.
Candidates who have studied abroad, the equivalent qualification as determined by the Association of Indian universities shall form the guidelines to determine the Eligibility and Should have Passed in the Subjects of Physics , Chemistry &Biology(Botany/Zoology) and English up to the 12th standard level with 40% marks aggregate
Duration: 3 Years
A candidate who has passed in any of the following examination from the recognized university accepted by this university as equivalent there to shall be Permitted to appear and qualify for M.Sc Degree (In the Faculty of Medicine).
